human bondings and relationships

I have been living in hyderabad for the past three years. And like any other person who reads a newspaper, i too had been following the local politics . So i very well knew that ,the Late YSR REDDY was the chief minister of Andra Pradesh. His personality always attracted me and his aura used to keep me thinking , what kind of a person he was. To me he looked very human and modest. Well that's my personal opinion.
The day he went missing, till the evening, every tv channel were covering the news, and i am sure the TRP's must have dramatically increased. Some were cashing on the opportunity by making melodramatic stories and some evening giving out information that was baseless. But in the midst of all this, there were some tv channels who were constantly keeping the hope of he being alive, which was i think the reason for me to believe that he was safe and would come back. And like me there were many others who held the hope high.
For me, keeping the hope alive was important , because he was alive till he was not declared dead!
And then the news came ,that he had perished in the ghastly air accident.
He had kept the whole nation awake and restless ,till the time he was declared dead.
I could not understand my disappointment and grief. I was sad and so were many other people. some even took extreme steps and ended their lives.
Such was his persona and his reach. Or maybe such strong is human bonding, that we want someone to survive because we create a bond with them through newspapers , tv news or maybe just by hearing about them.
He would always be remembered for his work. But i would always remember him, because i prayed for him.
